Document certification assistance

Almost every application — a job, a bursary, a grant, a bank account — asks for certified copies. Getting them usually means a trip, a queue and a morning gone. We take that job off your hands: we make the copies, get them where they need to go, and bring them back to you.

R25 for up to 5 pages, R50 for up to 10 pages. Once-off, no subscription.

What is included

You get

  • Clean copies made from your original documents.
  • Printing, scanning and the handling of your paperwork from start to finish.
  • Transport or courier of the documents to and from the person who does the certification.
  • All the administration and the following up, so you do not have to.
  • A scanned copy of the certified pages attached to your case, so you have a digital record as well.
  • Your originals returned to you.

Not included

  • The certification itself. Moola Services does not certify documents and cannot certify documents.
  • Any government, statutory or departmental fee, if one applies to your particular document.
  • A guarantee that a specific institution will accept the copies — that decision is always theirs.

What we need from you

  • The original documents. A copy of a copy cannot be certified.
  • Your South African ID number and contact details so we can match the work to you.
  • To tell us how many pages there are, so you order the right option.
  • To tell us who the copies are for, in case they have their own rules about how recent certification must be.

You can upload PDF, JPG or PNG files of up to 10 MB each straight onto your case, or bring the originals to us and we will upload them for you.

Payment
EFT or in person. Your order reference is how we match it to you.
Turnaround
Usually two to four working days from payment, depending on the queue at the certifying office. We will tell you on your case as soon as the documents are back.
Where it lives
Every job is a case with its own number, visible in your account from start to finish.

What happens after you order

  1. 1

    You place the order

You get an order reference immediately, and a case number for each service on the order.
  2. 2

    You pay

By EFT or in person, quoting your order reference so we can match the payment to you.
  3. 3

    We start work

Once the payment is confirmed your case moves from Awaiting payment to Open, and we begin.
  4. 4

    You collect the result

Finished work is attached to your case, so you can download it from your account whenever you need it again.

What you are actually paying for

Moola Services does not certify documents itself. Certification is done by a commissioner of oaths or another person authorised under South African law. Our fee covers administration and logistics only — copies, printing, scanning, transport, courier and admin. It is not a government or statutory fee, and it is not a charge for the certification itself.

Counting your pages

Count every side that needs a stamp. A two-sided document is two pages. If you are close to the limit, take the 10-page option — it is cheaper than ordering the 5-page option twice. See all prices.

How long a certified copy lasts

Many institutions only accept a certified copy made within the last three to six months, and some insist on their own form. Check what the institution wants before you order, or ask us and we will help you work it out.
