Moola Services is not a law firm
What "general information" means
Employment law touches almost every South African worker, but every situation is different. What we tell you is based on the law as we understand it, and on the facts you share with us. It is meant to help you understand your position and decide what to do next — it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified, admitted legal practitioner who has reviewed your full file. We take care to be accurate and current, but we cannot guarantee the information is complete, that it applies exactly to your circumstances, or that the law has not changed since we gave it to you.
Referrals to independent lawyers and other professionals
Sometimes the right next step is to speak to an independent attorney, advocate, trade union official or other professional — for example if your matter is heading to the CCMA, the Labour Court, or needs a formal legal opinion. Where this happens, Moola Services may put you in touch with someone independent of us.
- A referral is a suggestion, not an instruction. You decide whether to use that person.
- Moola Services takes no part in, no commission from and no benefit from any fee you pay that professional.
- A referral is not an endorsement or a guarantee of that person’s work, conduct or fees, and it is not a guarantee of any outcome in your matter.
- Any agreement you reach with that professional is between you and them. Moola Services is not a party to it.
Document certification
We do not certify documents ourselves
What you pay us — R25 for up to 5 pages or R50 for up to 10 pages — covers our administration and logistics only: making the copies, printing, scanning, getting the documents to and from a commissioner of oaths, courier where needed, and the admin of tracking your case. It is not a government fee, a statutory fee, or a charge made by the commissioner of oaths, who may or may not charge separately. See our Document certification assistance page for full details.
We cannot guarantee that a particular employer, government department, bank, university or other authority will accept a certified copy. Acceptance rules are set by that authority, not by us, and can change without notice.
What Legal Advice and Know Your Rights can help with
Both services focus on South African employment law: things like unfair dismissal, disciplinary hearings, retrenchment, unpaid wages, leave, contracts and workplace disputes. A Legal Advice session answers a specific question in plain terms; a Know Your Rights consultation takes a full hour to go through your situation in more depth. Neither service drafts pleadings, appears for you at the CCMA or in court, or negotiates with your employer on your behalf — that is the kind of work an admitted legal practitioner or your trade union does.
General use of this website
Everything else on moolaservices.co.za — service descriptions, pricing, example timelines, articles and FAQs — is provided for general information about our services. It does not create a contract until you place an order and it is accepted, and it does not amount to a promise of a particular result from any service, including a CV, a job application or a consultation.
